My body tensed, paralyzed by fear. Then, without warning, he grabbed my arm, pinching and twisting until blood rose beneath my skin...There was a time when I believed I had everything figured out. I grew up surrounded by love, faith, and structure—a home where prayers were said, values were taught, and the future seemed bright and secure. Catholic school shaped my mind, my parents shaped my character, and my own innocence shaped my heart. I trusted easily, believed deeply, and never questioned the path laid before me.But life has a way of unraveling even the strongest foundations when we start searching for something outside of the love that has always been there. My search led me into places I never expected—into a love that was never meant to be mine, into secrecy, heartbreak, and self-doubt.
